Food storage for $7.00 a week

Last night for Family Home Evening, my husband and I gave a lesson on food storage. I talked about budgeting food storage into you weekly grocery bill. Here is a list that is a really useful guideline. If you want more (and much better info) go to www.providentliving.org

Food Storage for $7.00 a Week

(The original copy of this says $5.00 a week, but most of these items can not be bought with $5.00)

Some weeks you will have leftover change, save the change each week in a kitty to be used for the weeks you may exceed $7.00

15 cans of cream of mushroom soup 12 lbs macaroni

12 lbs salt 6 lbs yeast


This should be enough to sustain two people for one year. For every two people in you family, add $5.00 and double or triple the amount of the item you are buying that week. This is just a guide – if you do not use some of these items replace them with items you would use.
